Everything feels slow
My belly's large
I need to recharge
But no! There's a little toe
Straightaway comes the show.
Hiccups again? My My My
Gah! I've got a cramp in my thigh
Reflux too!? No sleep tonight....
Never again will I eat that pie
Yet, morning comes and hunger hits
With low blood sugar, I'm on the fritz
So you better watch out!
I'm slinking about
There's no telling what I'll do
When I eventually bump into you!

A Scare, then a Laugh
It's Sunday. I am sitting in Church, and I realize that I haven't felt the baby move all morning. All sorts of thoughts start going through my head, the worst case scenarios, worrying me even more. This isn't like her! She is usually pretty active in the mornings. But today she was silent, not one kick or swish.
I feel that I should tell my husband. So I lean over and whisper in his ear that she hasn't moved all morning. He looks into my eyes, then gently places his hand on my belly. Immediately, I repeat, IMMEDIATELY she bounces from the right to the left in the womb, and quite forcefully! What a surprise! Relief flooded through me, and we were both laughing over the matter. She just needed Daddy's touch and warmth. After that, she kicked, swished, and did somersaults all day.

Never underestimate the power of Love!
